The Ministry of Transport of Angola informs that the deadline for submitting proposals under Public Tender No. 2/2025, concerning the concession for the operation, management and maintenance of the Namibe Corridor, has been extended.
The decision results from an analysis of the requests submitted by the bidders, who identified that the initially established deadline was insufficient for the adequate and complete preparation of the proposals, especially considering the nature, characteristics, volume, and complexity of the services associated with the contract to be awarded.
To ensure technically and financially more robust proposals, aligned with the expectations of the Contracting Public Entity and promoting broader and more qualified participation, the deadline was extended, as established in Order No. 48/2026, of March 30, 2019.
New Deadline for Namibe Corridor Tender
According to the aforementioned Order, the deadline for submitting proposals is now June 4, 2026, until 3:00 PM.
With this extension, the Executive reinforces its commitment to transparency, competition, the quality of tender procedures, and the pursuit of the public interest, in line with international best practices.
The Namibe Corridor represents a strategic infrastructure for national logistical and economic development, contributing to the boosting of trade flows and regional integration.
