CFM South Announces Reopening Date for Limpopo Railway Line After Flood Damage

The Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique South Executive Directorate has announced that train operations on the Limpopo Railway Line are scheduled to resume on 17 March 2026.

The suspension followed heavy rains that caused damage to sections of railway infrastructure, leading to the interruption of services.

Reinstatement works are currently underway and include the restoration of track infrastructure and bridges. The line will reopen once these works have been completed.
