Transnet Seeks New Deals In Africa

South Africa’s national port and freight-rail operator has set its sights on acquiring new projects across the continent. Transnet SOC Ltd. has drawn up a list of 18 African nations where it wants to do business and is targeting at least five transactions this year. The state-owned company is also looking for opportunities in the Middle East, India and South Asia and wants to boost revenue by more than half to R100 billion rand.
