TAZARA Workers Threaten To Go On Strike

Government has pleaded with Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) workers in Zambia, who have not been receiving their salaries for the past 3 months, not to go on strike. Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary, Dr. Jobbicks Kalumba said that while government sympathises with the workers plight, going on strike will not be in the best interest of the workers or the country. He stated that government, through the Ministry of Finance, is making arrangements to send funds to pay staff. Dr. Ka
