PRASA Southern Line Service Between Retreat And Fish Hoek Station Resumes

On 19 December Metrorail announced that the repair works between Retreat and Fish Hoek Stations on the Southern Line had been completed. As of 21 December 2021, commuters were able to travel by train once again. Metrorail is set to operate the yellow and grey trains during peak hours with the EMU set to operate off-peak as per the RSR conditions. The cost to repair the damage between Retreat and Fish Hoek and Glencairn Stations caused by theft and vandalism, in October, has been estimated at approximately R4.5 million.
