UNTU Signs 7,3% Wage Increase For PRASA Employees

The United National Transport Union (UNTU) has signed a 7,3% wage agreement with the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) and a guarantee that no employee will be retrenched in the next financial year. Steve Harris, General Secretary of UNTU, says this agreement will be implemented across the board (ATB) for all PRASA employees irrespective if they belong to another Union or if they don’t belong to a Union. UNTU is the majority Union in PRASA. The agreement will be backdated to 1 Apri
