Transnet Freight Rail Fully Geared Up For Its Annual Manganese Line Shutdown

Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is set to spend approximately R90 Million in its annual, large scale maintenance shutdown on the Manganese line. The shutdown will commence on Thursday, 02 August with the anticipation that all work will be completed on Wednesday 08 August 2018. The railway line spanning over three provinces, Port Elizabeth and Hotazel in the Eastern Cape and Northern Cape; Kimberly and Bloemfontein in the Northern Cape and the Free State, will be going under specialised infrastructur
