Registration has opened for the South African Heavy Haul Association's SAHHA 2026 Conference, which will take place from 16 to 19 November 2026 at Emperors Palace Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
The conference will be held under the theme "Integrated Heavy Haul for Sustainable Growth" and will bring together representatives from government and industry, alongside infrastructure specialists, researchers, rail operators, technology providers, suppliers and other sector stakeholders.
According to SAHHA, the programme will focus on the challenges and opportunities facing South Africa's heavy haul rail industry, providing a platform for discussion between organisations involved in railway operations, infrastructure and the wider heavy haul value chain.
Early bird registration is priced at R8,850 and will remain available until 16 October 2026. Standard registration, applicable from 17 October, is R9,850, while workshop registration is R4,800.
SAHHA has also opened sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for companies seeking to participate in the event.
The association said the conference is intended to support industry engagement and collaboration around the development of the country's heavy haul rail sector.
