Compagnie du TransGuinéen (CTG) has added six locomotives to its fleet as it progressively expands railway operations supporting Guinea’s Simandou project.
The locomotives have been named Fougoumba, Mont Loura, Sogoboli, Mont Nimba, Mont Gangan and Coyah, reflecting locations across Guinea.
According to CTG, the additional units will strengthen its expanding locomotive fleet and support the gradual increase in railway operations.
The locomotives form part of the operational development of the TransGuinéen railway, which connects the Simandou mining areas in the Beyla and Kérouané regions with the Port de Morébaya.
