The Compagnie du TransGuinéen (CTG) has taken an important step in the implementation of the TransGuinéen project with the signing of its first rail maintenance contract with FYIA-Scoop, a company established under Guinean law.
This partnership marks a significant advance in CTG’s strategy to ensure the sustainability, safety and performance of the Trans-Guinean railway infrastructure, while placing the promotion of local content at the centre of its approach.
Through this agreement, CTG reaffirms its commitment to national expertise by strengthening the capacity of Guinean businesses and supporting the development of local skills within the railway sector. The collaboration with FYIA-Scoop forms part of a process of knowledge transfer and value creation for the benefit of the national economy.
“Local content is a strategic priority for the Compagnie du TransGuinéen. By relying on qualified Guinean companies, we are contributing not only to the success of the TransGuinéen project, but also to the sustainable development of the national economic fabric,” said Robert Lu, Managing Director of the company.
The Trans-Guinean project, a strategic and structuring infrastructure initiative for Guinea, aims to support mining development, strengthen territorial connectivity and generate significant economic and social benefits for the population.
With the signing of this first rail maintenance contract, CTG is establishing an important milestone towards efficient, inclusive and sustainable rail operations, driven by Guinean expertise.
