According to Virgin Hyperloop One Chairman, Richard Branson, the company has always believed that India would be a strong market for hyperloop – and his recent announcement in Mumbai proved this to be a reality. The Indian State of Maharashtra has announced their intent to build a hyperloop route between Pune and Mumbai, beginning with an operational demonstration track. "I believe Virgin Hyperloop One could have the same impact upon India in the 21st century as trains did in the 20th century,"
