SETRAG, acting as Delegated Project Owner on behalf of the Gabonese State, has issued a Call for Expressions of Interest for a multidisciplinary consultant to provide Project Management Assistance for the Transgabonais railway project.
The assignment forms part of the Modernisation and Securing Programme, financed by the French Development Agency (AFD), which supports the rehabilitation, modernisation and safety improvement of the Transgabonais railway. The selected consultant will assist SETRAG with overall project management, stakeholder coordination, financial monitoring, works supervision, strategic and operational decision-making, and the coordination of project management teams responsible for the various works contracts.
The project covers several key infrastructure workstreams, including the rehabilitation of hydraulic structures, earthworks, engineering structures, unstable track platforms, and the rehabilitation and extension of Owendo and Franceville stations. It also includes the securing and automation of level crossings, data acquisition, diagnostic missions, safety services, and full project management services covering studies, works and scheduling.
The mission will run for five years across the SETRAG network, from Owendo to Franceville. SETRAG intends to shortlist up to six candidates, who will then receive the Request for Proposals for the required services.
