UK to get 3,700 new coaches

Some  £9.3 billion is to be spent in the next four years on about 3,700 new coaches for Britain’s railways. The existing fleet is said to be “at its oldest for 14 years”. New intercity rolling stock for Virgin Trains East Coast will cost £5.7 billion and new electric trains for London’s Crossra
