Opportunity: Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Lobito Corridor Investment Mapping

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has issued a request for consultancy services to conduct an Investment Mapping for the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) segment of the Lobito Corridor.

The assignment will identify private sector-led investment opportunities across agribusiness, manufacturing, energy, mining, digital, and urban infrastructure sectors. The focus areas include Lualaba and Haut-Katanga provinces, which serve as key mining and industrial hubs, and Haut-Lomami and Tanganyika provinces, which are largely agricultural.

The study will consider factors such as railway route, gauge, and capacity while exploring potential Public–Private Partnership (PPP) models and private capital mobilisation strategies. The findings will inform IFC’s broader corridor engagement framework.

The solicitation (No. 0002018801) was issued on 7 October 2025 and closes on 16 October 2025.
