BUCKLED RAIL FEARED IN UK HEATWAVE

Speed restrictions were imposed on main-line trains early in July in Britain, when unusually high daytime temperatures led to fears of rails buckling. Notable instances included the slowing of expresses operated by the First Great Western company, working out of London’s Paddington to the west
