
The 14th Ordinary Meeting of the Inter-State Council of Ministers (ICM) of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency took place on 18 June 2025 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The high-level gathering brought together ministers responsible for transport and infrastructure from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, and Rwanda.
The meeting reinforced the shared commitment among member states to strengthen regional integration and improve transit transport and trade facilitation along the Central Corridor. Discussions were marked by a collaborative spirit, reflecting mutual priorities in advancing infrastructure development and cross-border coordination.
A significant moment during the proceedings was the formal handover of the ICM chairmanship. The Democratic Republic of Congo passed the leadership role to Malawi, signifying continuity and renewed focus in driving the Corridor’s agenda forward.
The meeting concluded with member states reaffirming their collective resolve to implement effective strategies that will enhance connectivity, support trade, and promote regional development.
