Madagascar’s railway component under the Multimodal Transport and Logistics Project is moving towards a substantial procurement phase covering track materials, maintenance equipment, civil works and engineering services. The programme is aimed at rehabilitating and strengthening key sections of the TCE and TA networks, while also addressing structures, signalling, stations and terminal capacity.
For suppliers and contractors, the procurement plan provides an early view of the packages expected to come to market, but the listed dates and values remain indicative. The planned tenders should only be treated as live opportunities once the formal procurement notices and bidding documents are issued.
