The Government of Algeria, through the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure and ANESRIF, has issued a call for expressions of interest for the selection of a consultancy firm to provide project management assistance for the 495 km Laghouat–Ghardaïa–El Menia railway line.
The project is financed by the African Development Bank under the first tranche of a loan agreement. The selected firm will support project implementation over a 60-month period from June 2026, covering procurement, financial management, environmental and social monitoring, contract management, preparation of bidding documents and capacity building.
Consultants must demonstrate at least three years of cumulative experience in railway infrastructure project management assistance. Selection will follow the AfDB Quality and Cost Based Selection method, with shortlisting based on railway references, relevant experience and IFI-financed contracts.
