Europlasma subsidiary Valdunes Industries recently announced that it has signed a multi-year contract with a leading industry player in Southern Africa for the manufacture of monobloc railway wheels for heavy-haul freight operations, particularly in demanding mining environments.
The five-year contract covers more than 77,000 monobloc wheels and is expected to generate approximately €50 million in revenue over its duration.
The agreement strengthens Valdunes’ international presence following contracts secured earlier in 2026 in the United States, Latin America and Northern Europe.
Valdunes Industries did not disclose the name of the customer.
