TURKEY: HIGH-SPEED LINE OPENS

Trains on the newly opened Ankara-Konya high-speed line can reach a maximum speed of 255km/h. Built at a cost of TL1 billion, the new line was designed and constructed by Turkish contractors and engineers. No other high-speed railway in the world has been built as quickly.
