MALAYSIA RAIL PROJECT ON SCHEDULE

In a RM12.5 billion project to replace Malaysia's single track northern railway, a 329km electrified double track is under construction from Ipoh to Padang Besar on the country's border with Thailand. The government awarded a five-year contract in 2007, and later extended its original 2012 deadline
