MAGLEV TUNNEL IN JAPAN

The Central Railway of Japan is boring a 3km tunnel into the Japan Alps in the Yamanashi Prefecture as part of a geological survey in preparation for building a magnetically levitated (maglev) line between Tokyo and Nagoya.
