INDIAN METRE GAUGE ENDING

Over the next four to five years, Indian Railways (IR) plan to convert the remaining 10,621km of metre-gauge track to 1,676mm. According to Minister of State for Railways R Velu, all lines in the country - broad and narrow gauge taken together - currently total 63,326.69km.
