CHINA TO DOUBLE-TRACK MALAYSIAN LINE

Malaysia has awarded China a contract to double 197km of line, the Straits Times reports. Details of the project have not been made known but it was reported earlier that the scheme would extend 197km from Gemas, a town near the Johor-Negeri Sembilan border, to Johor Baru and cost RM7.5 billion.
