CATENARY-FREE TAIWANESE LIGHT RAIL

A 22km, 1,435mm gauge light rail system with 36 stops is to be built in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Phase I, due for completion in 2015, is to comprise the rolling stock depot and 8.7km of double track on the southern and western sides of the circular route, along the alignments of existing freight lines.
