MARC REPLACING ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVES

The Maryland Area Regional Commuter (Marc) system – owned by Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has a small fleet of electric locomotives – 10 in all. Four are 30 years old. They are AEM7 locos, similar to Amtrak’s AEM7s which have been phased out. The remaining six are HHP8 models, only 15 years
