LOW ORE PRICE HALTS CANADIAN PROJECT

Current low levels in iron-ore prices have halted Canadian National's northern Quebec rail project. The proposed line was to serve mines near the Quebec-Labrador border. Together with terminal handling facilities, an outlay of C$5 billion was estimated for the line's construction.
