The Government of National Unity in Libya has secured financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to support the implementation of a Strategic Transport Sector Study. This General Procurement Notice serves to inform both local and international consulting firms of opportunities to participate in the project.
The study is intended to strengthen the capacity of Libya’s transport sector through the development of a comprehensive, multimodal strategy covering road, maritime, air, rail, and logistics. It will assess the current state of the sector, identify key challenges and opportunities, and establish a clear roadmap for future development. The scope includes evaluating infrastructure and operational needs, and formulating policies and strategic recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and long-term sustainability across the transport system.
