British Steel has secured a contract worth tens of millions of pounds to supply 36,000 tonnes of rail for the Ankara–İzmir high-speed railway in Türkiye. The agreement, supported by UK Export Finance, will see British Steel deliver 60E2 rail in 36-metre lengths to ERG International Group, which is delivering the 599 km project on behalf of the Turkish government.
