FINED $1.6 MILLION FOR POOR SERVICE IN THE SNOW

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has fined Keolis, which runs the area's commuter rail service, $1.6 million for 'substandard' service in January and February, following severe snowstorms that effectively crippled the system.
