CRUDE OIL TRAFFIC RISES 256% IN THE USA

A drop in world demand for coal during 2012 was reflected in lower rail freight volumes in the USA. However, there was a substantial rise in the movement of crude oil to the east and south by rail, mostly from North Dakota's Bakken Shale region.
