Canada appoints astronaut

New Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau has appointed Marc Garneau – who was the country’s first man in space – as transport minister. Garneau (66), who logged 677 hours in three space flights between 1984 and 2000, is a highly regarded member of an otherwise youthful cabinet, half of whom (15)
