BOSTON FINE FOR POOR PERFORMANCE

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), which oversees public transport in the Boston metropolitan area, has fined the contracted operator of the state's commuter rail service for poor performance in November and December, including late and dirty trains. Fines totalling $1.6 million
