AGL Opens a New Multimodal Corridor Between Abidjan, Bobo-Dioulasso and Bamako to Streamline Supplies to Mali
Africa Global Logistics (AGL) announces the opening of a new multimodal corridor linking Abidjan to Bamako via Bobo-Dioulasso, combining rail and road transport.
This corridor is part of a strategy to strengthen connectivity between Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Mali, facilitating the movement of goods and supporting the development of regional trade.
This new corridor offers Malian operators a smoother, faster, and more competitive logistics solution.
An innovative solution for improved logistics performance
Developed by AGL teams in Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Mali, this new corridor relies on rail transport between Abidjan and Bobo-Dioulasso, followed by road transport to Bamako.
This system streamlines operations through the Bobo-Dioulasso dry port, where goods are quickly processed before their final delivery. A secure escort system is in place up to the Malian border to guarantee the integrity and traceability of the flow throughout the entire route.
Designed to meet the needs of manufacturers and economic players facing tight deadlines, this solution is adaptable to a wide variety of goods and addresses the operational constraints of multiple sectors. Already successfully tested for an initial industrial client, this system is intended for wider deployment.
Effective support from the customs authorities of the three countries
This project was made possible thanks to exemplary coordination between the customs services of Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Mali. This cooperation strengthens the traceability of goods, secures the flow of goods, and contributes to smoother regional trade. It also allows for better support of economic operators by simplifying certain procedures. By relying on an integrated ecosystem, including Sitarail and Malian and Burkinabe carriers, this solution also contributes to the development of local economies, while strengthening Mali’s export capacity.

AGL now aims to further develop this offering, with a gradual increase in volume and a target capacity of 20 containers per month, in order to meet the growing demand for reliable and secure logistics solutions in West Africa.

It contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of regional logistics corridors and supports the establishment and development of industries in Africa, thus offering economic actors solutions tailored to their needs.
