The Land Public Transport Commission or ‘Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat‘ (SPAD) has developed the Land Public Transport Master Plan to set out the vision and direction for public transport in Malaysia. The vision of the master plan is set out so as to achieve a safe, reliable, efficient, responsive, accessible, planned, integrated, affordable and sustainable land public transport system to enhance socio-economic development and quality of life.
Asia Rail Summit 2017, which will be held on 24 and 25 May, in Bangkok, Thailand, will feature a dedicated theatre to provide a comprehensive sharing platform, gathering the region’s government and operators at the show. Join us in a focused discussion around SPAD’s key issues and challenges.
For this year’s event, Mr Ramesh Balakrishnan, deputy general manager from SPAD will deliver a keynote speech regarding ‘Rail Project Updates in Malaysia’. He is currently attached with the SPAD Rail Division Project Section, which is responsible for overseeing project regulatory compliance for MRT Lines 1 & 2, LRT 3, East Coast Rail Link ECRL, Gemas-JB Double Tracking, Klang Valley Double Track (KVDT) in Malaysia.
