MAN ELECTROCUTED AT CAPE TOWN STATION

FATAL TFR SHUNTING ACCIDENT

On 29 April, at about 09:45 during shunting operations at Trichardt station, Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) yard employee Ayanda Dlamini was fatally injured. Apparently three tankcars had been shunted into the centre road and detached. The locomotive then pulled away to fetch further wagons.
