SIMON’S TOWN LINE CLOSED

Posted on 22 January 2010 by Railways Africa Editor

On 4 December 2009, Metrorail advised on its website: “Train service between Fish Hoek and Simon’s Town has been cancelled due to acts of nature, passengers will be conveyed by bus between Fish Hoek and Simon’s Town in both directions. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Thank you.” In mid-January the line was still closed – rusty and in places buried in seasand.
