SHOSHOLOZA MEYL PERFORMANCE

Posted on 06 December 2009

According to the 2008/9 Annual Report for the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa), Shosholoza Meyl long-distance passenger train operations achieved a cost coverage of 31% overall. It seems that management was pleased with this, as they had set 23% as a target.

The target for on-time running was 50% but for the year as a whole, actual right-time performance was only 32%.
