NEW NIGERIAN LINE FROM APAPA

Nigeria’s Ministry of Transport together with Nigerian Railways Corporation have approved construction of a new line to run from the port of Apapa to link to the existing line running to Ondo State. Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is to build a 7,000-capacity container terminal in Ondo State at a cost of $US15 million. Pacific International Lines and Singapore and Hull Blyth, UK, have together signed an MOU for the project. Work is due to commence in the middle of 2010, The Vanguard (published in Lagos) reports.
