BIG CHINESE CONTRACT FOR BOMBARDIER

Bombardier Sifang(Qingdao) Transportation Limited has been awarded a $US4 billion contract by China’s ministry of railways to build 80 Zefiro 380 high-speed trains – a total of 1,120 vehicles altogether. Delivery is to be effected between 2012 and 2014. Bombardier Sifang is a joint venture formed in 1998 between Bombardier and CSR Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Limited.
