METRORAIL PROBLEMS: JOHANNESBURG

Posted on 14 September 2009

“Metrorail has been experiencing major delays on its commuter services. Two weeks ago, Monday, all trains through Langlaagte ran about 40 minutes late (if they ran at all). On the Friday of that week, the second Soweto Business Express (the four-coach one that leaves at 17:25) was creeping southbound around the Benrose loop at 17:55 on its way to Soweto. Again, there must have been big problems on the west side of Park station.”
