Posted on 20 August 2009
On 29 July, 12 wagons of a CSX Railroad freight train derailed near Greenville in South Carolina’s Greenwood County. There were no injuries though an empty tanker with residue from a “caustic” substance caused a minor spill, according to local press reports. Slight damage was caused to the track but no serious traffic delays resulted.
