APPLE EXPRESS LOCO REVAMP

During inspections of the two 610mm gauge class NG15 2-8-2 locomotives at Port Elizabeth, it was found that the boiler on no 124 was in better condition than that on 117. In view of this it has been decided to scrap 117 and use parts off the engine in rebuilding 124 – a job that is now in hand.
