THREE HELD FOR RAIL THEFT

Between July 2004 and November 2004, three Kentucky men stole railway material in the Kermit area and sold it to scrap metal merchants in Salyersville, Kentucky, according to federal charges preferred against them. Aged 34, 41 and 65, they face federal charges of conspiring to steal and sell an estimated $190,000 worth from the Norfolk Southern railway company. Other charges allege interstate transport of stolen goods.
