CAPE TOWN BOMB THREAT

The busy 24-platform main station at Cape Town was brought to a standstill on the afternoon of 11 June, following a bomb threat. No trains were able to enter or leave until security personnel had combed the premises and given the all clear. Considerable service dislocation was caused, persisting into the evening peak.
