ALGERIAN LINE REOPENS

Posted on 04 June 2009 by Railways Africa Editor

Following extensive renovation, the 50km line connecting Thenia to Tizi-Ouzou is to be operational again in early June after being closed for about ten years, according to transport minister Amar Tou. One problem still to be resolved concerns vendors who have spread their activities onto the right-of-way, notably at the Tadmait and Draa Ben Khedda stations.
