SHE STOLE A TON OF RAILWAY

When a 37-year-old woman offered a scrap-metal yard bags containing hundreds of rail anchors, tie plates and spikes, the dealer tipped off the police. She had pilfered a ton weight in pieces of the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Granite City, Illinois. She pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to two years’ probation.
