Posted on 15 April 2009 by Station Master

In 2006, Israel Railways ordered 87 coaches including cab-equipped driving trailers for push-pull operation. Siemens is the supplier, in a contract worth €125 million. The railway has options to take a further 585 vehicles. The first 10-car set recently entered service on the Modi’in-Tel Aviv-Nahariyya line, after being inspected by general manager Yitzhak Harel.
