ALGERIAN ELECTRIFICATION

A new consortium called “group for the national companies for rail network electrification” (Generf) is intended exclusively for rail network electrification in Algeria. Its establishment was confirmed on 25 March, when various subsidiaries of Société Nationale des Transports Ferroviares (SNTF – the state railway of Algeria) signed an accord in Algiers. These included the Kahrakib and Kahrif companies, their principals Sonelgaz and Rail Electr and Infrarail.
